Valued above all for its intensely silver, needle-like foliage that releases a warm, spicy fragrance when brushed, this Mediterranean subshrub brings year-round luminosity to dry and sunny schemes. Small clusters of mustard-yellow flowers appear in summer, but it is the persistent silver mound that earns its place.
