Giant Foxtail Lily

Eremurus robustus

One of the great spectacles of the early summer border, this foxtail lily sends towering spires of pale peach-pink starry flowers to three metres or more, rising with breathtaking drama from a basal rosette of strap-like leaves. Plant the octopus-like rhizomes in generous drifts for a display that stops conversation in its tracks.
