Borago officinalis

Borago officinalis is a fast-growing annual herb beloved for its vivid, star-shaped blue flowers — among the truest blues in the summer garden — which are irresistible to bees and can be floated in salads and cocktails. It self-seeds prolifically and colonises bare ground with admirable generosity, filling gaps in borders with silver-bristled foliage and a haze of brilliant sky-blue from early summer onwards.
