Anemone x hybrida

An invaluable late-season perennial that produces a long and generous succession of saucer-shaped flowers in white and soft pink on wiry, branching stems above handsome, vine-like foliage from late summer well into autumn, filling the gap left by summer's fading. Once established it spreads steadily, knitting together the back of a shaded border with understated elegance.
