Fragrant plantain lily
Hosta plantaginea
Distinct among hostas for its large, glossy, bright-green leaves and the exceptional quality of its flowers — tall scapes bearing pure white, lily-like blooms with a pronounced and delicious evening fragrance in late summer. A refined choice for a shaded border or a pot near a seating area where the scent can be fully appreciated.
