Eastern Redbud
Trees
Eastern Redbud
Cercis canadensis
Eastern redbud is one of the most theatrical of small trees, smothering its bare branches in clouds of rich rosy-pink flowers in early spring before a single leaf has appeared. The broad, heart-shaped foliage that follows is handsome through summer and turns warm yellow in autumn, giving the tree three distinct seasons of interest.
