Few annuals deliver such an unrelenting season of colour, with trumpet-shaped flowers cascading over the edge of pots, hanging baskets, and window boxes from early summer until the first frost. Available in virtually every colour from pure white through deep purple, modern trailing cultivars are particularly effective when allowed to spill in generous drifts.
