Armenian grape hyacinth

Muscari armeniacum

One of spring's most dependable bulbs, sending up dense spikes of cobalt-blue flowers with a sweet honey fragrance in early spring. Excellent for naturalising beneath deciduous shrubs, threading between tulips, or massing along border edges.
